This year, Clinique celebrates 49 years of skincare. The original idea behind the brand was that "Great Skin Can Be Created". This was quite revolutionary, given that at the time, the general attitude was that those people with good skin had lucky genes, and those who didn't, well, didn't.
With almost 50 years of beauty under its belt, we thought we'd take a closer look at some of Clinique's cult products, those that have truly struck a chord with people and reside in bathrooms worldwide.
Originally launched in 1968 as one of Clinique's first skincare products, this little yellow bottle is instantly recognisable. It is estimated that a bottle is sold somewhere in the world every 4.87 seconds!
As well as providing all-day moisture, it works to strengthen the skin's barrier, protecting it from pollution and the environment.
The original lotion was reformulated in 2013, but the texture remains the same. Dramatically Different is now available in a lotion or cream for dry to very dry skin, as well as a gel for combination skin.
Clinique love colour, and the Clinique Chubby Sticks range is testament to that.
The original product in the range was the Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm (now with 15 shades in the cutest names like Pudgy Peony and Whole Lotta Honey). It was so successful, that Clinique have since launched Chubby Sticks for eyes cheeks, lashes, contouring and highlighting, and even more lip products.
The Chubby Sticks look like crayons, and are just as easy to apply.
Just draw on, blend if needed, and you're ready! Perfect for people who don't wear heaps of makeup, but just want some colour, right through to makeup addicts.
We love the variety of colours, and the fact that they're portable enough for travel or the handbag.
I don't know about you, but I'm not exactly a morning person, so anything that helps me look more ready, is a winner in my books.
The relatively new Pep-Start skincare range gives skin a quick and easy boost so you can then get on with your day.
The original product in the range is the Pep-Start Eye Cream. It brightens the eye area, hydrates and reduces puffiness, helping you look more awake.
Now there's also a Pep-Start Hydroblur Moisturizer which blurs skin imperfections, leaving your skin smooth and ready for makeup. And the Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser removes dirt and makeup so your skin glows. The latest product is the Pep-Start HydroRush Moisturizer SPF 15 which provide sun protection and all day hydration.
Removing your makeup at the end of the day is one of those necessary life duties that grown-ups have to bear. The Clinique Take The Day Off range makes this job a whole lot easier.
These purple packaged products (try saying that three times fast!) gently and effectively dissolve makeup and eye makeup. And it actually works on long-wearing makeup as well as waterproof mascara, without irritating the skin or eyes.
There are six different products in the range, with a formulation to suit everyone.
Our favourite is the Cleansing Balm which transforms from a solid balm, to a silky fluid oil, almost like magic.
In 1976, Clinique was the first prestige beauty company to develop a skincare range specifically for the needs of men. And the Clinique Skin Supplies For Men range still looks after men's skin worldwide.
Like women, men are encouraged to find their skin type, and then choose products to address those concerns, including dryness, blemishes and wrinkles.
The men's range includes products for shaving, cleansing, hydrating and protecting.
Basically everything a guy needs to look after their skin.
With so many iconic products, some which have been around for decades and withstood the test of time, and some which incorporate the latest technology, Clinique is still a beauty brand to be reckoned with.
Do you have a favourite Clinique product or range? We'd love to hear from you.
The name Giorgio Armani is synonymous with clean, crisp design and high quality craftsmanship. His attention to detail is meticulous, but you wouldn't expect anything less from such a refined man who initially studied medicine.
After a brief segue into the army, Giorgio Armani moved into fashion where he flourished. He has been hailed as the most successful designer that Italy has ever produced.
Fragrance creation was a natural progression for Mr Armani, using his passion for innovation and quality to produce more than 100 fragrances for both men and women.
A perfume is more than an extract, it is a presence in abstraction. A perfume, for me, is a mystique.
- Giorgio Armani
Armani fragrances are multi-faceted and the designer has partnered with many A-list celebrities and models who perfectly embody the many dimensions of his scents.
We give you a round up of Armani's most popular fragrances for men, as well as the faces behind the campaigns.
With a debut advertising campaign starring model-turned-photographer Larry Paul Scott, it ran for a full decade, making it one of the longest-running print advertisements of all time.
The current face of Acqua di Gio is American model, Jason Morgan.
Armani Code For Men was released in 2004, and initially named Armani Black Code.
Described as a “sophisticated and seductive fragrance for a charismatic man”, it was an immediate worldwide success, and was awarded Fragrance of the Year in the Men's Prestige category in 2006.
The latest advertising campaign for Armani Code features Chris Pine, an American actor known for his roles in the Star Trek movies, This Means War with Reese Witherspoon and the Disney musical fantasy film, Into The Woods.
Alluring, powerful and fiery, Code Profumo radiates warmth and intensity, and is classed as an Oriental Spicy fragrance.

CHANEL L'EAU EAU DE TOILETTE. You know me and you don't.
In what could be the most anticipated perfume release of the year, the newest fragrance from luxury fashion house Chanel, CHANEL N°5 L'EAU Eau de Toilette, is now available from us at Kiana Beauty Melbourne.
Chanel N°5 has long been a classic fragrance, and now has gained cult status.
It was 1921 when Gabrielle Chanel commissioned perfumer Ernest Beaux to create “a woman's perfume with a woman's scent”. It was the fifth sample that Mademoiselle declared was the one, and she named it N°5.
I present my dress collections on the fifth of May, the fifth month of the year and so we will let this sample number five keep the name it has already, it will bring good luck.
Chanel N°5 quickly became recognisable, not only for its floral aldehyde notes, but for the striking bottle of “pure transparency...an invisible bottle.”
The bottle was even immortalised by legendary artist Andy Warhol in 1985.

The Chanel N°5 Eau de Toilette was launched in 1924, a warm, bright and vibrant echo of the original floral bouquet.
One of the key ingredients is the May Rose, which only blooms for about three weeks a year, and is hand-picked using a special technique. It then has to be transported to the factory within two and a half hours, otherwise the petals fall off, the scent is lost and the rose cannot be used. It is elements such as this which differentiate Chanel's fragrances, creating a purity and intensity that cannot be recreated in a laboratory.
Olivier Polge, son of Jacques Polge, succeeded his father as Chanel's head perfumer during 2013. On creating a new Chanel N°5, he started with what he calls, “the DNA of any Chanel N°5,” the flowers - Jasmine, May Rose and Ylang Ylang.
The top notes are comprised of fresh citruses - lemon, neroli, orange and tangerine.
Finally, it is a base of cedar and white musk notes which mingle to create a new, fresh sensitivity, a contemporary sexiness.
Lily-Rose Depp is the face of the Chanel N°5 L'EAU campaign. At just 17 years old, she is a ‘young woman in the image of N°5, who everyone thinks they know but is full of surprises, and continuously reinvents herself’.
Her father is American actor, Johnny Depp.
